discussed how we affect our
environments. Look around your home in order to find a situation in which you believe occurs due to human impacts. Describe this situation to your peers and think of one solution that YOU could do to help improve this place.
At the back of my house, there are some rubbish on the soil such as candy wrappers and different types of plastic (non-degradable materials.) I think that it is not very good to throw rubbish on the floor. I could tell the maids and my family not to throw rubbish outside. I could also clean up and pick the rubbish from the soil and throw it in the bin so we don't affect the earth as much as we normally do. We should all think before we do anything about effecting the earth

ReplyDeleteHumans have made a huge impact in my local environment, when I look out of the window and I can only see concrete buildings and not many trees! This means that the area is always hot and no trees for shade. When I walk to school I can see no dirt/soil so if I was to plant a tree I would need to dig up the concrete just to plant one tree. I believe that it is time to make a difference towards the environment and just plant a tree! :)

ReplyDeleteI think around my apartment I have a few problems. First, my road is a bit tight so after 5:00 cars pack up there, and then the exhausts of all cars pollute the place. Second, if it rains the soi floods so they are cutting a few trees down. Third, there is a lot of construction going around the place six buildings are being built.
I think places around my apartment effect the envoirnment like one building is being constructed. There are no trees in the soi so that means there are lots of urbanization. My soi is near the bts and the cars are letting out chemicals that go up into the air.

ReplyDeleteMy Condo has some problems because of humans. Humans make the environment bad by littering, not following rules for example having a dog and let it poop where ever they want (even if they are not allowed to have one) or spitting bubble gum on the ground (and I stepped on one), some people also see the sigh that say “no parking while the engine is on” but they still turn it on and the hot air is coming out from the car so they are making the global warming. So I think people should look back and see what they done wrong and fix it.
My house uses a lot of electricity because my family turn on the air condition most of the time (in different rooms!). I think we should try to be in the same room so we don't waste a lot of electricity but sometimes my brother needs to do his homework quietly(without anyone distracting him) and my dad likes to listen to music LOUDLY, so it is kind of hard for them to be together!!! My house has a small garden but i don't think that is enough.

ReplyDeleteI looked at the poverty or the more basic lifestyles near or in my home community.
The first sign of poverty I saw around my home was the beggars, especially on Soi 11, who are poor and have little money. The next thing I looked at was across my street there is a building being made and inside there is a TINY house in which a family and a few others who are building the new building. Another thing I looked at was the number of maids around my home. I think they do not so much live in poverty but have a basic lifestyle and aren't also treated very well with full respect of their rights. The final thing I noticed about poverty and basic lifestyles around my house were the men or woman who go down our street selling food. The reason I think they have a basic lifestyle is that they sell things cheaply and so dont get very much money. That is what I think the poverty and basic lifestyles are around my home. The way I will try and help is treating everone I meet in my home community
(and everywhere else) with complete respect.
As i looked out the window. I saw the nieghbors house. Its very dirty and dusty. Then as i walk out of the house , i see beggars on th street. On one side of my appartment , i get a view of the park next door, tons of trees and a nice environment. Then on the other side of my appartment. I see my nieghbors run down house and the beggars. I think this is because they dont havwe a lot of money and they can't afford anything better than what they have. All the women stay at home and clean the house and the men beg. I will try to help by being nice to the poeople i meet and respecting them for what they have.

ReplyDeleteI looked out the window i could see the construction site behind me that is affecting our enviroment. Right next to my apartment was a little park with lots of trees but during the year 2008 they strated cutting down the trees down and getting rid of other enviromental things but during the year 2009 they started planting more trees and putting in plants bushes. I will keep trying to keep this place all the respect i can.
My house is in a neighbourhood. It is called Bangkok Green Park. Every morning when i wake up i always feel very fresh because of the trees and plants outside my house. When the wind blows the house is nice and cool. I hope that other places in the world would be like this.We could make a difference just planting trees.
ReplyDeleteMy house is right next to the American Embassy and Lumpini Park. when I look out I see a lot of trees on one side and then just buildings and construction on the other. I think that at least every building have a garden with some trees or at least one tree by their house.I think that that will be better for the environment and at least make Bankok look better. So I think that if everyone had at least ONE TREE by their home that it would make a BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!
ReplyDeleteI looked out of my window, and I saw people working at a construction site. This is affecting our environment because before there used to be trees there, now they cut down the trees and are now making a building. On the other side of my building there is the queen ciricit park. This has a good impact because there is lots of trees being planted there.

ReplyDeleteI live near the school.In and near the apartment I live in there are a lot of trees around, which is good for the envirironment because then some animals won't loose their homes. But near my house there are a lot of consrtuction sites which is not good. It's not good because if we have less trees we have less oxygen, the animals will lose there homes and the world will be more polluted.

ReplyDeleteI live in a condo which has trees on the floor called 'SP' and lots of people play there, but around our buildings there are alomost no trees so my mom and I bought plants to plant in our livingroom near the window above the AC.
My friend name Kevin lives below us and everytime I went to his bedroom to play, he turns his AC for hours and it's wasting energy and thats bad for the envirironment and it's making the world hotter so I think we should all use less ACs and electricity.

ReplyDeleteAt the back of my building next to the tennis court there is an area that has rubbish and wood everywhere. I think that I should go and clean up the area because just that little area can have a big impact on the environment and the environment could change. People should think before they do something because if people just litter all over the place and nobody picks it up and throws it away then like I said before It will impact the environment and the environment might change.

ReplyDeleteBehind My house there is a klong which is polluted and under construction. I feel strongly about this issue because that the klong used to be a clean and full of green nature last year and until the construction moved in, causing the plants to die because they throw the plants out and filtered the klong, leaving only ugly black water, plastic and glass rubbish floating around and no plants at all. I also have a vacation house. There I fish out trash for a hobby because I have nothing else to do except biking, so I also make I difference but I recon it is a small difference and If every one does it, The river could be trash free.
When I look out of my window at the front there aren't many trees,but there are lots of pollution from cars and contructions.The opposite of that is down stairs at the ground floor and at the 7th floor there are many trees.At the 7th floor there are lots of trees around the pools and the air is really fresh.On the ground floor there are trees on the sidewalk.It makes the air freash and it make the buildings look great.There are lots of advantage from planting trees so all of us should help PLANT TREES!

I also see many scrap paper outside my house and also a lot of polluting stuff like plastic water bottles and many other.I really think we need to keep our plants alive and maybe plant more to make the world nicer.

ReplyDeleteNear my house the water leavel rises around one feet when it rains(above the foot path and it stinks).One of the reasons why the water leavels get so highin is because we throw our garbage on to the streets wicth pollouts the earth and blocks the drainage system.So if the drainage system are blocked there is nowhere the flooding water can go so that is one of the reasons why it floods.Their is a second way we effect our enviorment wich is that we do not obey traffic rules.If we don't obey traffic what will happen is that there will be to much cars on the road and none of the cars will be able to move,wich will make the traffic even wrose.one solution is that we all should be echo friendly.

ReplyDeleteMy house doesn't have many trees around the first floor. If there isn't many trees then there will be less home and shades for animals that like to come around my house. Birds usually don't make nest on the first floor of my house. I think my solution would be that I would take the plants that I grow and grow them on the first floor instead. The plants would get more sun too.

I could improve this nice environment by planting more trees and making my house and garden green.
Cars is very poluted to my enviroment because my town house have many tree, if there are more cars maybe the trees will die... but I think there is a way to improve is to use bikes/bicycle instede of cars to go out to the playground.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look out side the window, I see many trees around my house. I can see some scraps a round my house. I think that the thing i can do to change my community is to try not to throw scraps on the floor and if we saw one we could pick up.

ReplyDeleteI can see the cars and the mortocycle passing by my house. Polluting black smoke and carbon dioxide making me have to breath the bad somke and the bad carbon dioxide but hopefully some of the people that are frendly to the enviroment uses gas instead of smoke which dose not pollute the air and the soi and making me breath the fresh air from the trees and nature. Maybye every one shoud try to use gas instead of oil it will make every one get to breath fresh air...
When I walk around the house I see lots of plants and trees including rubish around the floor. I think that all of my family members should think about the environment and pick up as much rubish as we can. So that can help change some of our comunity from being scraps all over to a clean comunity. This will help some of our comunity to get better.

ReplyDeleteIn my soi there is a big area where there was basically trees. But nowadays what I realize is as days pass, I notice more and more rubbish in that area. I think littering on an area with trees is not a wise decision. What I or my community could do to help is put more trash cans for people to put there trash in instead of just throwing them into a random place

ReplyDeleteWhen i look behind my house, theres alot of trash because lots of constructer litter behind house. ( my house is still under construction right now so there's still people working there so I live in the other house now). Behind my house there's alot of trees because it's a forest. But my town house doesn't have much trees so I think people at my town house should plant more trees and don't litter.
The klong river I see every day to come to school is dirty. Many rubish are thrown and the rivers colour is brown and I think that natural animals in the sea like fishes die and there will be no food for humans.

ReplyDeleteWhen i observe the area that i live in i see a lot of plastic bags and rubbish on the road. There are thousands of bins where I live, but no one seems to pay attention to them. In my garden there is a lot of rubbish but i don't think that we put it there but who know we could have. I think to fix it we should put up more signs and resist that feeling of throwing your rubbish on the roads.
